I used to be on my option to London. One of these serendipitous journeys: feeling completely dressed, good-looking strangers lifting my baggage, an empty coach and two seats to sprawl throughout. Even the coincidence of working into somebody I’d been which means to attach with—a espresso date organized on the spot, bam.
At St Pancras, my husband was ready. We dropped my luggage on the lodge and went for a tea. London, the autumn mild, a delicate stroll. Divine.
That’s after I felt it: a lightness within the air that matched the one inside me. Everything was in stream.
And I questioned—is it potential I’ve lastly created a life that works for me?
