Vichy Dercos’s “energy” shampoo scores with the proven active ingredient aminexil. It is similar to the active ingredient minoxidil, which is used in medicine, for example, in the form of tablets against hair loss. Aminexil is supposed to loosen up stiffened collagen around the hair follicle and thus ensure a firmer hold of the hair root. Shampoos with aminexil are used especially in the case of hormonal hair loss, for example after pregnancy or in menopause.
Important restriction: Individual manufacturer and laboratory tests show positive effects of aminexil in the event of hair loss, but this has not yet been sufficiently proven by studies. Even a shampoo with aminexil should only be seen as a component of holistic treatment (in consultation with the doctor).
