Who else is desperately seeking men’s summer fashion that feel stylish but not sweaty? It’s easy to get stuck in a rut of tee + shorts + sandals when leaving the house means entering a pea soup fog of 89% humidity. Which is exactly why fall is my favorite season I’m making it easy for you to get dressed right now with a little game of choose your outfit adventure!

How? By looking to some of the trendiest characters on your screens this season, and borrowed their staple styles to make you some seriously cool summer inspo.

Style is a journey, and whichever adventure you choose to go on today will lead you to the same destination: the ever-cool Huckberry. Their wide assortment of time-tested outdoor brands, technical, climate-adaptive fabric, and on-trend—but not too trendy—cuts means you’ll feel as good as you look, even in the summer heat.

Plus, their annual summer sale is happening right now (and yes, some of my favorite pieces are featured below!)

shirt | chino | loafer | wallet

Wear this look to: a rooftop bar, your neighbor’s apartment, a birthday party for your friend’s enemy

This outfit would look right at home in the retro-futuristic 1960s aesthetic of the Fantastic Four group’s Baxter Building penthouse.

Linen pants and leather loafers give it the look an easy-yet-elevated vibe, perfect for saving the world from a Big Bad, but you can just as easily wear it with some shorts and sandals to the neighborhood pool.

Dressy Style: The Tan Suit

blawhat | trousers | polo | loafers | sunglasses | belt

Wear this look to: sit courtside at a grand slam or a casual summer wedding

If you google “Seth Rogen tan suit” you will be floored by the number of image results returned with different tan suits.

Clearly the actor, producer, and cannabis entrepreneur brought his own personal style into the role of a newly-appointed movie studio head because the character’s wardrobe is full of them!

In full transparency, I haven’t watched this show yet, but my personal style has been compared to Rogen’s assistant on the show, so it’s on my list!

While Rogen wears his LA casual-ified suiting to work, this laidback style will look great at any of your only slightly dressy affairs. Or even casual outings when you just want to feel a little more put together. Try it with sneakers and tee—it will work!

tee | shorts | shoes | sunglasses | socks | backpack

Wear this look to: a picnic hike, game of footie, or an environmental protest

Okay, so we’ve had the cargo shorts and pants conversations before many times—you know the drill.

We’re taking them up and in a little from their frat boy heyday, more of a throwback 70s fit like our favorite toothless camper.

Men's Summer Fashion Inspired By the Best-Dressed Actors 5

shorts | shirt | tee | sandals | hat

Wear this look to: a street festival, fire pit, or a star-watching date

This pair comes in 7″ and 9″ inseams, so it’s a real choose you own adventure—you’ll find me on the 7″ path. A short-sleeve shirt adds a little style but ultimately we’re going for functional comfort with this look—the same way you would dress for science camp where you met your girlfriend who is totally real.

Have you guys watched Lena Dunham’s new show, Too Much? If not, you should. I know we’ve been shouting from the rooftops that we want to see your upper legs, and while we love a little Paul Mescal moment, I’m confident that leading man Felix shows how cool big, baggy pants can be. Meaning? He would definitely rock these GORP-y orange shorts.

They’re perfect for anyone who isn’t ready to wade into the short-shorts waters. I especially love the red drawstring waist!
