On November 8, Galeries Lafayette, in partnership with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, will open the doors of its first India flagship in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai with over 250 world designer and luxurious couture and ready-to-wear labels.
“India today is shaping a new global language of luxury- one defined by culture, confidence, and contemporary expression,” stated Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited’s CEO, International Brands, Sathyajit Radhakrishnan in a press launch on Thursday. “The opening of Galeries Lafayette Mumbai at this moment feels especially fitting as the country stands at the intersection of global relevance and local renaissance.”
Located in Kala Ghoda’s historic Turner Morrison and Voltas House buildings, the division retailer goals to ascertain French class and a 130-year legacy in Mumbai’s vibrant cultural panorama. Product classes will embody vogue, magnificence, skincare, fragrances, equipment, and modern streetwear for males and girls, set in 90,000 sq. toes of retail house designed by London-based enterprise Virgile + Partners.
