“It taught me not just about makeup but about the importance of visibility and inclusivity in beauty.”
I’m a notoriously nosy person when it comes to beauty products. I want to know whether you double cleanse at night, how often you wash your hair and exactly what you’re using. I want to know if there’s some special facial tool or pair of tweezers that have (hyperbole warranted) changed your life.
In short, I adore products. This is why I’ve asked some of our favourite Australian beauty experts to share the ‘top three’ they can’t live without. The scope is broad – it can genuinely be anything, as long as they’re the three they value the most.

Joining us this week is Ugandan-Australian model and content creator, Uniice another. Growing up, Unice rarely saw beauty idols who looked like her. Likewise, she hardly ever saw people who used and recommended products that would work for her skin tone and features. So she took it upon herself to learn.
“I spent hours watching YouTube tutorials, teaching myself how to apply eyeliner, blend eyeshadow and experiment with colour in a way that celebrated my complexion,” she says “It was a journey of self-discovery, and it taught me not just about makeup but about the importance of visibility and inclusivity in beauty.”
Knowing the unique challenges girls face growing up was a large motivator behind Unice’s decision to step into an ambassador role for World Vision’s 1,000 Girls Campaign. “Too often, we’re made to feel like our voices don’t matter or that we should stay silent. But I believe girls are strong, capable and full of untapped potential,” Unice explains.
The 1,000 Girls Campaign movement aims to shine a spotlight on the global crisis of gender-based violence and create a world where girls can live free from fear. With a platform of 9.2 million followers on the truth and 562,000 on InstagramUnice is all about using her reach for good.
As part of her everyday work, Unice might work with any number of makeup artists, stylists and hairdressers while shooting a campaign. “I’ve learnt a lot of beauty tips from working with makeup artists, such as how to blend and set my concealer to make my base look airbrushed, [or] enhancing and defining my facial features with just blush or contour.” Given her thoughtful approach to beauty, we had to know which beauty products rank as her all-time favourites.
Product one: Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation
How did you first discover this product?
I first discovered this product back in 2022.
What is it, what does it do and why do you love it?
It’s a foundation that evens my skin complexion and creates a smooth canvas for makeup application. I love this product as it was the first ever foundation [I tried] that was true to colour and matched my skin tone.
Who would you recommend it to and where can you find it?
You can find this product at Mecca. It’s very inclusive for my darkskin girlies looking to find the perfect shade of foundation.
Product two: Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Skin Tint
How did you first discover this product?
It was one of the first PR packages sent out to me.
What is it, what does it do and why do you love it?
It’s a foundation that’s not too thick and leaves room for your skin to breathe. I love it as it’s a true match, and on days when I don’t want to wear too much makeup, it’s the best option.

Product three: Essence Volumising Mascara
How did you first discover this product?
I found it in my sister’s room one day and took it!

It’s a volumising mascara that lengthens and curls your natural lashes. I love this product because I don’t wear fake lashes, but it makes my lashes look incredible!
Who would you recommend it to and where can you find it?
You can find this product at Pricelineand I would recommend this to anyone wanting to grow their natural lashes and to those who often find fake lashes annoying.
