Ebro and Peter Rosenberg Call Out Drake’s Axe Response to…

Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg are responding to Drake after he reacted with an axe emoji to information of Ebro within the Morning ending on Hot 97.

On Sunday morning (Dec. 14), Rosenberg wrote on his X account, “It’s behavior like this that has made it impossible for people to defend the wack sh*t that he does.”

He continued, “But happy Hanukkah my one time pal .. I truly wish you well even if you’re celebrating what you believe is our demise (spoiler alert — we’re about to be much bigger now that we won’t be held back by a company that is and has been completely lost ever since they bought the station!).”

Ebro adopted hours later with a short publish declaring, “Drake is ‘right wing’ and so is sAK,” seemingly in reference to his rival and Drizzy loyalist, Akademiks.

It was announced on Friday (Dec. 12) that Ebro’s long-running morning radio show, Ebro in the Morninghad been canceled by Hot 97. His co-hosts, Rosenberg and Laura Stylez, were also let go by the station.

In a video circulating online, Ebro suggested the cancellation was tied to his progressive politics, suggesting that the owners of the radio station “don’t give a fuck about hip hop or black music or black community” and they needed him “out of the best way.”

This is hardly the primary shakeup to occur at Hot 97 this yr.

In late August, Hot 97 parted methods with DJ Enuff (born Ephrem Lopez) after his 27-year run.

Funkmaster Flex, who was moved to a 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. slot following Enuff’s departure, will take over the morning shift at Hot 97 “until further notice,” starting on Monday, per Radio Ink.

In meantime, Ebro has been pointing to his Ebro within the Morning YouTube channel, telling followers to subscribe and to “stay tuned” for extra.
