Cardi B Dismisses Conspiracy That She Platformed To Dethr…

Cardi B is shutting down theories that music business energy gamers gave her a platform simply to sabotage another person’s profession.

In a preview of her upcoming Call Her Daddy episode, shared solely with Complex, Cardi addressed the long-standing rumor to host Alex Cooper.

“People have made this whole story that I came in the industry to, like, take over somebody’s career,” Cardi mentioned. “But it’s like, I never thought that. I just wanted to become famous at what I like to do—that’s all things.

“Sometimes people just don’t get along with each other and if they don’t get along with each other … it’s no more, like, ‘Oh, but I think that they don’t get along with each other because somebody from the higher ups wanted to make and destroy’ and this and that. No, this [is] what I was destined for.”

She continued, “I was destined to become this, no matter who signed me, no matter what I was going to be famous and I was going to be a rapper no matter what because this is what I invested my time with, invested my own money with. Like, before I got signed, I was investing my money. It’s nothing more than just people didn’t get along with each other and that’s just that, but I’m, I’m done with that.”

Ever since she made her business breakthrough with “Bodak Yellow” in 2017 and earlier than incomes her first Grammy the next 12 months, Cardi has been topic to pesky rumors that she is an “industry plant.”

That very hypothesis was repeated by Ye (previously Kanye West), as seen in leaked footage circa 2018 the place he referred to as Cardi “a plant by the Illuminati” that “literally replaced Nicki Minaj.”

“She do not write her raps. She simply there to sound as ignorant as attainable after which make songs like, ‘fuck them and get some cash,’” Ye mentioned on the time. “She has literally replaced Nicki Minaj, purposely that they put her there, and now she doesn’t know what to do, and she has no idea what the fuck is going on. She thinks it’s just a blessing from the universe. It ain’t no blessing from the universe.”

Cardi recently shut down Joe Budden’s suggestion that someone else was responsible for writing the scathing disses on her new album Am I the Drama?including verses aimed at JT on the track “Magnet” and Bia on “Pretty and Petty.”

“Whoever is writing these lines, he is smoking this shit,” Budden mentioned on the episode.

“Whoever wrote it?” Cardi wrote in a since-deleted publish on X. “Nah that’s CARDI.. this is my process… I’m a natural roaster and you already know I’m quick with the mouth so I’ll be coming up with lines and I’ll record myself then lay it later..”

She added, “Don’t give me backhanded 10s cuz I’ll always be able to prove my shit.”
