You can mark another gala in the calendar: In November, the first Franca Fund Gala will take place in Doha, Qatar-organized by the filmmaker and photographer Francesco Carrozzini, her excellence Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Tour, Global Editorial Director from Vogue and Chief Content Officer from Condé Nast. Nevertheless, he often thought: “That is not enough, we need something bigger,” said Carrozzini. This gave rise to the idea for the “Franca Fund Gala”, which was finally developed in collaboration with Sheikha al Mayassa.
“I wanted to do something with someone who understands my mother’s values and their commitment to art and fashion,” explains Carrozzini. During his lifetime, SOzzani and Sheikha Al Mayassa combined a friendship based on these common interests. According to Carrozzini, the chairwoman of the Qatar Museum and co-chair of the “Fashion Trust Arabia” offered “generously aligning the gala”.
The evening is created in cooperation with the Qatarian cultural center “M7”, a place for innovation and entrepreneurship in the areas of design, fashion and technology.
