Pakistan’s textile and attire exports rose 5.63 per cent to $4.77 billion in Q1 FY26, pushed by larger international demand, improved cotton output, and renewed funding in equipment.
Knitwear and man-made fibre merchandise led the expansion, whereas cotton material exports dipped on account of weak Asian demand.
The sector contributed over 62 per cent of complete exports, reaffirming its pivotal position in Pakistan’s financial system.
